Also, during the extended lockdown, we remain open for service provided by Registered Therapists who are: Don, Chiho, Cynthia, Julia and Maryan. Tokyo Shiatsu Clinic (Eglinton) and Suzuki Shiatsu (Beaches) will remain open during the lockdown for treatments provided by our Registered Therapists who have acupuncture registration. We are practicing the safety procedures to ensure that we can safely provide our service for your health, by sanitizing all the equipment and surroundings before every treatment, washing all the lines after every use on site, and other necessary measures introduced by public health authorities and regulatory college of acupuncture.

On the other hand, while acupuncture is accepted as medical treatment in Ontario, shiatsu massage is not. Therefore, by following the rules and restrictions of the lockdown by City of Toronto, we will stop providing treatments given by Certified Therapists until the lockdown ends.

Our Eglinton clinic will be closed for three days from September 28th Monday to 30th Wednesday due to moving to a new location. We cannot take any appointment during this period at the Eglinton location.
The clinic will be open on October 1st, Thursday at the new location, 2409 Yonge Street, Suite 300 (3rd Floor). It is in the medical building, located a three minute walk to North on Yonge street from the current location.

Maryan Nasirpour was born in Iran and gaining master’s degree in architecture, later she found her calling in healing realm and got interested in acupuncture. She followed her path in Canada by providing Reiki to the cancer patients in Sunnybrook cancer wellness center. There she got interested to know more about energy healing and later got her acupuncture diploma in Toronto and continued her education in Vancouver with diploma in Chinese Herbology. She had her internship in Tzu chi Hospital in Taipei where she had two famous doctors in oncology/cancer treatment (Dr.Yang) and Neurology (Dr. Hsu) as mentors. Now she travels across globe and north America to learn more about Dao medicine. Maryan has been travelling to touch and learn healing systems and modalities in many countries included: Iran, Cuba, China, India, Taiwan and Italy.
By her extensive experiences and knowledge, now she is treating variety of problems in the areas such as:

We also wanted to let you know that we improved our sanitation and in-clinic procedures while we were closed.

Treatment rooms are fully sanitized. Blankets/pillowcases are replaced and covered by vinyl table covers.
Our therapists and receptionists wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
We are implementing social/physical distance in a common area and restricted to numbers of patients at the same time.
We are less likely to accept cash; please be prepared to use either a credit or debit card to pay your treatment.
We are also required to do active screening before we take any appointments with you. Please see this list and if you answer “yes” to one of them, please stay at home.

As a precaution to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, both the Eglinton and Beaches clinics are temporarily closed for the time being.
We had to make a difficult decision to close both clinics. We will continue to follow the information and updates from public health authorities and the regulatory college and will let you know as soon as possible what options are.
